Building E of the Nowy Rynek complex in Poznan received the highest score in the international LEED certification, confirming not only the modern design of the building, but also the comprehensiveness of the applied solutions that reduce its impact on the environment while simultaneously increasing the comfort of people working in it.
LEED is a rating and certification system for buildings that promotes the design, construction and operation of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient facilities. LEED certification evaluates various areas, such as energy efficiency, water consumption, indoor air quality, sustainable materials and building location. Having a LEED certificate is proof that a building meets specified standards for sustainable design and operation.
The Poznan office building in the Nowy Rynek complex is equipped with technologies that reduce drinking water consumption by 64%. It also has infrastructure that enables the collection of rainwater and gray water, which is already used, which can be used again. Tenant premises are equipped with water-efficient fixtures that allow for control of water consumption throughout the building. Thanks to innovative LED lighting, energy consumption has been reduced by over 30%. Additionally, over one-quarter of the materials used in the construction of the office building contain recycling additives, such as concrete, steel, aluminum, glass and insulation.
The building also benefits from its location, being close to the Old Town and in direct proximity to the Main Railway Station, next to tram and bus stops.
