Curtis Plaza Will Be Demolished

Permission to demolish the Curtis Plaza office building in Warsaw's Mokotów has been officially issued, marking the beginning of the transformation of this area into the capital later called "Mordor". The building, constructed in 1991-1992, was a pioneering facility offering open-space offices in Warsaw.

Curtis Plaza is an office building located in Mokotów, with 14,744 square meters of rental space on six above-ground floors. It is located at the intersection of Wołoska and Domaniewska streets, in the heart of the business part of Mokotów Służewiec. This office building played a key role in shaping the post-industrial part of Warsaw, later known as "Mordor".

A characteristic element of the building is an impressive atrium, decorated with a huge hanging chandelier. The facility offers both office space of 13,106 sqm (the first open-space offices in the city) and service space of 1,638 sqm. Curtis Plaza has 224 parking spaces, of which 215 are on the surface and 9 are underground.

Curtis Development company obtained permission to demolish the office building, although concrete plans for the development of this area are still unknown. According to the spatial development plan, the new development may include low buildings with a maximum of 6 floors, intended for services.
